Aerial view of South Beach and the Miami Beach coastline from a private airplane tour

The Signature Collection

RivieraSouth Beach Airplane Tour

Miami Beach & Ocean Views · 40 minutes

Turquoise water, white sand and the islands you never get to see from the ground.

This is the coastline flight. You follow the water north from Key Biscayne, over Fisher Island and the cruise ships at the Port of Miami, then along the sandbar of private islands: Star, Palm, Hibiscus and the Venetians. After that the aircraft turns in over Ocean Drive and the Art Deco strip of South Beach.

On a clear day the water is shallow enough to see straight to the bottom, and passengers regularly spot rays, dolphins and the occasional shark just off the beach. Bring a camera you like.

Before you fly

The practical details

What time should I arrive, and what ID do I need?

Arrive 30 minutes before your departure time with a valid, government-issued photo ID. Whoever paid for the flight presents the same ID and the same card used for the booking.

You have a 15-minute grace period on arrival. Beyond that we may not be able to fly the full route.

Is there a weight limit?

The Cessna 172 has a combined cabin limit of 500 lb (227 kg) and an individual limit of 250 lb (113 kg). These are aviation limits. They decide how much fuel we carry and where each passenger sits.

Give us accurate weights when you book so we can plan the flight properly.

Who can fly? Are children allowed?

Children are welcome with an accompanying adult. Infant car seats cannot be used in the aircraft.

Flying is not recommended after 34 weeks of pregnancy, after recent surgery, or with a serious heart or respiratory condition. No passenger may fly after drinking alcohol. Every passenger signs a liability waiver at check-in.

What should I bring on board?

Bring: sunglasses, a camera or phone, and a light layer, because it is cooler at altitude.

Leave behind: large bags, drones, and anything loose that could move around the cabin.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Aviator Zone is an FAA Part 61 and Part 141 flight school operating a fleet of more than 25 aircraft with certified flight instructors in every left seat.

The pilot has final authority on every flight. If weather, visibility or air traffic will not give you the flight you paid for, we reschedule you or refund you in full.

Can I cancel or reschedule my flight?
  • 24 hours or more before departure. Cancel free and we refund you in full. Rescheduling is also free.
  • Less than 24 hours before. The flight is non-refundable. If you tell us at least 4 hours ahead, we will give you one courtesy reschedule within 60 days. Rebooking inside 24 hours carries a $35 per person fee.
  • No-show. Charged in full.
  • If we cancel for weather, air traffic or maintenance, you choose a free reschedule or a 100% refund. We will have contacted you no later than 2 hours before your flight.

To cancel or move a flight, email or call us. The time your message reaches us is the time that counts. Messages by text or social media are not valid notice.
